What types of investments, depends on many factors....you should consult a finance advisor Or wealth management expert. Not some kids from the forum nor a insurance consultant.

Your age, risk tolerance, short term and long term goals etc etc. All have to be properly weighted and considered.

But of course, we don't know whats the amount of money we're talking here.

Given your bank have not already approach you. I am assuming you're talking less than 5 digits.

Digimonfan, considering that inflation rates have been about 3-4% and the average interest rates you get in banks at 0.05%, the net growth of money you put in a bank is unfortunately approximating at -3.45% which is in fact a negative growth. So while you are thinking you are growing your money albeit slowly, it is actually depreciating in value.
