On the pedestrian footpath, if there is contact made between the slow walking pedestrian and the cyclist at high speed, can the pedestrian lodge a police report and sue the cyclist to court
To safeguard against hit-and-run, is the pedestrian allowed to stop the cyclist from fleeding and take photo of him

Really dunno ....... seems in sgland same set of law apply to some not all.
whatever, be clear that cyclists are allowed to use same walkway path as pedestrians, govt approve.

Replying to resident who had asked if licence plates could be made mandatory for bicycles, so that cyclists could be held responsible for irresponsible behaviour, Minister said there had been such a move in the 1980s, but this was stopped because it was troublesome for cyclists and difficult to enforce. She said a long-term solution would be for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists to be more considerate towards each other and be able to share space. On the issue of dedicated lanes for cyclists, she explained that given land constraints, Singapore cannot afford to have such lanes.
above was response from lim hwee hua , second minister for finance & transport before she was booted out in the last election.
as she said blah blah blah ...... about pedestrian and cyclist, then I do not understand why on the road traffic rules can be enforced.

In sinkingpore, pedestrians walking on pedestrian footpath at your own risk. you die your business, this the kind of message we get.
Motorists (?) and cyclists are allowed to use the pedestrian footpath In sg. Which countries in the world their countries' govt allow this?

Need to get enough eyewitness to help you prove or this is why we need to force the government to invest and install more CCTV so ensure we are all well-protected
It's the same scenario as on the street when someone recklessly throw some dangerous objects and whack your arm or leg...
it's not a matter of spending money and time, it's making sure that fella got his punishment and serves as a warning to other cyclists
these days more and more foreign labours around...i fear for my own safety...more CCTVs around please

more wet weathers actually benefit pedestrians walking on the footpath
this makes us carry a long umbrella..it's effective...
