anyone knows why is tutu kueh so expensive?

  its just flour and the chocolate inside it and it costs $3.00 for 5 piece.                             In comparison to chocolate donut so many flour and so many chocolate for only $1,   but chocolate donut is oily and tutu kueh somewhat just tastes nicer.

  Is there actually a reason why tutu kueh are so expensive or the sellers are greedy to earn big bucks and im basically throwing money at them?

  rental, labour all these no need count?

  most important, profits.

   

   

  one day when u own ur own business then u will know why $3 for 5 pieces

  and u will understand that it is totally reasonable

  u might even think why not sell $4 for 5 pieces

  RIP tutu kueh.

  looks its going to be quite a long time before i get to eat another tutu kueh, what a waste of money.

  Ya, so expensive.  So much more expensive than the malay traditional kueh tu piring.

  to me kueh tu piring with gula melaka tastes nicer .......   yummy yammie  ....

  @ SJS6638, still haven't find kueh tu piring, not too familiar with malay stores, lol.

   

  but by the way, i found a cheaper tutu kueh shop in 

  Jurong West Street 52 Block 505 Market and Food Centre.

   

  4 chocolate tutu kueh for $2, 1 big tutu kueh for $0.8

  but but but but it tastes real bad, they kinda put too much flour

  and then cook for too short time making it really dry.

   

  (haven't tried the big tutu kueh yet.)

  Kueh tu piring can be found at pasar malam.   Usually $2 for 5.

  The most popular one is at Haig Road.   I have many told me to give it a try.    I have no chance to try yet.     Kueh tu piring is bigger than kueh tutu.   I love the gula melaka in kueh tu piring.

  I think it's becoz not many people know hw to make, and its hard to get really nice ones.
