Hi guys, i am doing a research for my project in making a romance genre music video. Please help me out by completing a simple 6 question survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7LZLYTM
Do share your thoughts here on romance genre, is romance film a genre you'd go to the cinemas to watch? Or do you feel connected to the love story in a song?
Much thanks
depending on your target audience? young adults (say 18-28) probably are more romantic, which explains why the romance films are so popular even though the older generation do not understand as there's not much content. as we grow up, perhaps will tend to me more practical rather than romantic :)
The music video will potray a coming of age romance, namely teenage student's loveship. So i was wondering how would a teenager feel about it and how would a grown up feels when they look back or think about their juvenile past.
男主角 hamsum?

Yes, but the lyrics / 情景 must be really good..
This is the song i will use to make the MV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HacRaenDOGc
The song is about a present of love that was never delivered to the person that he/she loves. The story of the MV is about a girl missing her opportunity to confess her love for the boy and end up losing the boy to another girl.
I am currently working on the storyboards, will share it when it is done :)

Hi peeps, my storyboards are up, please give me feedbacks on them
This is the song i've chosen to base my project on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HacRaenDOGc
It is a C-pop, soft rock song that is written, composed and sang by the late Taiwanese singer å¼ é›¨ç”Ÿ.
Logline: Saved by a young man, the love-struck girl struggles to confess to the guy she loves and misses her opportunity. A present of love that was never delivered.
Synopsis: A young secondary school girl is depressed looking down at a bow-tie in her hand on a gloomy raining afternoon. (Flashback of her story begins outside of a school when she is saved by her classmate from walking into the path of an oncoming car. She is grateful and after they part, she picks up the bow-tie that was dropped by the young man when he was trying to save her. After the incident, they got closer and become good friends in class. Their love for each other grows as they are hanging out together in school. She shies away from the boy every time he tries to get close to her and can only think about it in her bedroom playing with the bow-tie. Weeks after, she finally summons her courage and approach the guy after school on a rainy day. When she is about to confess by returning the bow-tie, she is interrupted by a girl from the other class and it turns out she has been going out with him recently. She is dumbfounded as rapid images of the past fills her mind revealing how she have missed her opportunities to the other girl.) The flashback ends when it transits into the current time (at the start of the video) where the bow-tie in her hand transforms into a butterfly and guides her vision into the sky above. The rain stopped and the sun shines through the clouds.
The storyboards(Prototype):
Legends:
LFA = Lead Female Actor
LMA = Lead Male Actor
SFA = Supporting Female Actor
And here is a poster art i've put together using character and background arts courtesy of Emirri, Rzhevskaya and Skaotic.
And some visual images from Rainie Yang's 雨爱 MV and ä¹把刀's é‚£äº›å¹´ï¼Œæˆ‘ä»¬ä¸€èµ·è¿½çš„å¥³å© used as reference for my music video.
Thank you for reading it through. Last but not least, i have a few questions for the purpose of survey data collection. Please help by answering it in your replies below.
1)Do you know the Singer å¼ é›¨ç”Ÿ or the Song è´è¶ç»“? Do you like the Song?
2)Did the story relates to your experience or memories?
3)Do you think that the emotions and feelings you get from the song matches the story?
4)Did you think the distinctive use of different color mood for different scenes makes the storytelling more engaging?
5)Would you recommend or share this MV to your friend?
Thanks and Cheers :D
Compiled into a video for easier viewing

yes. romance is a genre whereby i will pick when watching a movie. as for love song, i can relate better when there's the special one for me to refer to.
anyways. done with your survey!! :)
I think one theme song in general can affect the mood a lot. Romance films are great, especially those with touching music :)
done ur survey but think it may be too common
For me, I feel that romantic music videos are too common..
