8k at least. And be thrifty Q
Well, it depends on whether you intend to stay in it or not? If you rent it out, rental should cover your mortgage so basically all you need is to have the initial deposit. Or if you stay, you could rent out the other room so that would greatly reduce your burden as well. Of course if you intend to just live there by yourself, then I would say that you need to be earning at least 8k (depending on your lifestyle). Hope that helps :)
if trim everything to the bare minimum, 6k should be possible for a small condo
How about consider EC? If can wait for it to privatise you have a condo that comes with affordability?
Came across the eligibility criterion http://executivecondominiums.sg/eligibility/.
Meanwhile I was researching on upcoming executive condo launches The Visionaire EC, The Wandervale EC and Parc Life EC are quite attractive too.
Some smarter buyers could consider those with no resale levy and soon to TOP? There's a couple in the East like Heron Bay, Watercolours and Waterwoods.
