  Singtel subscribers to get up to 10 months of free Netflix to chill with

   

  Thinking of re-contracting or subscribing to Singtel’s mobile or fibre broadband and television plans?

  This might help in your decision making. Should you sign up for Singtel’s services between 22 January to 22 July 2016, you’ll get up to 9 months of free Netflix streaming depending on the plan you apply for.

  Netflix in Singapore Deal With StarHub

   

   

  StarHub Deal Gives Boost to Netflix in Singapore Video streaming service, Netflix has struck a deal with cable, broadband and phones operator StarHub in Singapore.

  StarHub’s FibreTV subscribers will be able to access Netflix through their set-top boxes by the early second quarter of 2016. StarHub says it will also join the Netflix Open Connect program in order to provide the best-quality viewing experience for StarHub mobile and broadband customers.

  “Fibre TV customers will enjoy a seamless viewing experience as Netflix will be directly integrated into their set-top boxes, making StarHub TV the only stop for the entire family’s entertainment needs,” said Howie Lau, chief marketing officer of StarHub. “In addition, all StarHub customers will be able to charge their Netflix subscription to their StarHub bill, removing the hassle of paying multiple bills.”

  Netflix recently announced that it had launched operations in all but a handful of countries around the world.

  Singapore already enjoys high speed broadband Internet connections and subscribers could easily access Netflix as an over the top service. The deal with StarHub adds an extra layer of convenience.

  It also drives up the competition against Hooq, the video service operated by rival telco SingTel, Sony and Warner Bros., which is currently in India, Thailand and The Philippines, but not yet in Singapore itself.

  Only those fans who are glued to korea and taiwan's entertainment still support channel 8 and U.(Not to forget no more new local star search actors and actress and always see the same old faces in local show how to give support?) Currently, Netflix is popular only if you want to watch their US sitcom or movies.
