Stomper Richie was amazed at the number of people who are still dedicated to the phenomenon that is Pokemon GO.
He spotted a crowd of 'trainers' gathered at a Pokemon hot spot in front of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) yesterday (Oct 29).
Said the Stomper:
"I am amazed that people are still crazy about Pokemon GO.
"I saw a huge crowd at MBS with people walking around with their phones in their hands till about 2am."
The huge gathering of Pokemon Go players might be attributed to the appearance of the rare virtual creature Snorlax.
Several trainers said they caught a Snorlax last night and shared their experiences on Pokemon Go Singapore's Facebook page.
Some caught it outside while others got theirs indoors.
Said netizen Winston cheekily about his huge catch:
"Ah bui (fatty), 'limpeh' misses you."
Congratulations to all who managed to get their hands on the elusive Snorlax. Next time when there's a similar sighting remember to 'jio' us and share your experiences with us.
Pokemon GO is going big this Halloween, with treats like extra candies and increased chances of finding ghost-type Pokemon for all players starting today (Oct 26) and running through Tuesday (Nov 1).
Pokemon hunters can expect twice the Candy rewards for catching, hatching and transferring Pokemon.
To roll with the whole Halloween spirit, there are also increased chances of finding Drowzee, Gastly, Gengar, Golbat, Haunter, Hypno and Zubat.
Stomp Team went on a search for these ghost-type Pokemon, caught a few and captured the short but fruitful hunt in a video below.

Drivers and passengers can no longer play popular augmented reality mobile game Pokemon Go.
The game's service provider Niantic Inc disabled gameplay at driving speed for all players around the world from Monday (Nov 7). The move comes after a series of traffic accidents and deaths were linked to drivers being distracted by the game, reported Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun.
"We responded based on a wide range of opinions we received," an official from the Japanese public relations office of Niantic said.
According to the the San Francisco-based company, players are no longer able to spin Pokestops if they are moving at more than a certain speed. Pokestops are places in the game that allows one to collect items such as eggs and more Pokeballs to capture more Pokemon.
Users can collect game items by swiping the screen at Pokestops, but with the change, the swiping motion will not have any effect.
Niantic has not disclosed what the speed limit is, according to Asahi Shimbun.
Safety measures to ensure people did not simultaneously drive and play the game existed in previous versions. However, it was just a warning screen that could be bypassed by selecting the option "I'm a passenger."
After an October update, Pokemon no longer appeared in the game if the player was moving at driving speed, but Pokestops had still been accessible.
Traffic accidents caused by drivers distracted by the game havekilled three people in Japan as of Oct 27. In the latest case, which occurred on Oct 26, a nine-year-old boy was killed in Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, when he was hit by a truck operated by a man who was playing the game.
Pokemon Go might not be as popular with mobile gamers as it was this past summer, but there are still plenty of players out there. The game keeps getting more updates and features intended to keep users entertained, and Niantic is about to release 100 additional Pokemon monsters for fans to chase down and catch. That’s great news for anyone who has already captured the initial 151 Pokemon in the game, and for anyone who might currently be bored of the game.
Niantic released a new update for iPhone and Android this week, and code inside the application reveals there are 100 “Gen 2” Pokemon animals waiting to be caught.
It’s not clear at this time when the new monsters will make their debut, but it shouldn’t be too long considering that they’re already present in the game’s code and on Niantic’s official site. However, Niantic did not mention them specifically in announcements earlier this week. The company did say in posts on its blog and on social media that the “Nearby” feature is expanding to additional markets, and it announced its latest iPhone and Android update. But there was no mention of the new Pokemon.
Here are some of them, complete with descriptions and powers.
For the full list of every single one of the 100 new Pokemon headed to Pokemon Go very soon, check out this big Pokedex — the Pokemon being added are numbered 152 through 251.
