Please be careful when the Court's sales person hard sell you their so-called Extended Warranty. You will get problems when you want to utilise it especially on the promises given by the sales person. Lesson learnt: ask the sales person to writedown all the promises so you have a proof.
Is there anyone who also got scammed? Would like to unite and sue them as class action, so they will stop cheatting the unsuspected consumers?
An unethical big company.
Again, be careful! Big company does not mean reliable.
full details please
We bought the scamful extended warranty based on the following promises given to us:
1. Genuine Apple products would be used should there be a need to repair the product.
2. The extended warranty will cover everything, including 1-to-1 exchange, battery, screen and covers.
3. The extended warranty was a facility for trade-in if we decide to upgrade the product, in whatever condition, at the end of the warranty period. We just have to top up the difference of the price as illustrated.
However, when it was time to do the trade-in at the end of the warranty period we were told we had been misled and asked to utilize the EW. They mentioned Laptop General Hospital as the service centre and when we bought the MacBook Pro to be checked, we were told that there was no such service. They only would replace the faulty items. So we mentioned that the left trackpad was a bit slow. The staff said that it was wear and tear but since we were under the EW, he told us to leave the laptop and got the trackpad replaced. When we collected the laptop, he mentioned that the new trackpad was not Apple genuine product.
So all the promises were breached and just because they are a big company they take the advantage of unassuming customers.
Wonder if any of you have experienced problems with Court’s Extended Warranty.
