God misses them too.. Its unfair to Him for keeping them for too longOriginally posted by Honeybunz:SAD SAD SAD
I happened to be at the Raffles Medical at Causeway Point today during lunchtime. While waiting for my name to be called, I read the Raffles Med newsletter. The front page was all on this operation. The sisters were interviewed and sounded so full of hope and positive. They were brave and looking forward to life after the operation. Because they were so confident, I thought this will be another miracle (like the one done here for the Nepali twins).
After hearing the news of the first death, I was feeling sorry for the younger one who would live the rest of her life feeling sad and self-reproach. Just then, I overheard the news reporting the death of the younger sister.
This is so sad. It's so unfair to them!
YES! I always thought that it can be labelled a case of euthanasia. THey are williing to die even though they know that the chances of success are slim. It's a pre-calculated risk that they are willing to take and they are willing to pay the price .... their lives.Originally posted by wuming78:jus listened to the news.. it seemed that they wanted to be separated AT ALL COST, according to the Raffles Med spokesman. realli wonder y...
i wonder how the doctors who did the op feel... isnt this remotely like euthanasia? imagine at certain point of separating them the doctors know they are in grave danger, but they have to carry on cos its at all cost, isnt tt against their oath? isnt tt similar to euthanasia? and wont this make the doctors so sad and helpless?
oh well.. jus speculating.. maybe the separation did not pose that grave a danger, and the blood loss came all of the sudden after they got separated.
sigh... had thought all well will end well...![]()
they're desperate, not brave. hasn't there been enough hooplah in the media circus? you wanna know more? do a google.Originally posted by Honeybunz:I hope they make a documentary out of this. I want to know more about these sisters. They were extremely brave. I am touched by their determination.
