How to kill geckos effectively?

Anyone???
In case some folks dunno what geckos are... it's 'bi hu'.
Some say geckos are good for getting rid of flies in the house. But My house no flies and I'm irritated by geckos' urine and shit. So gotta kill them! -

I usually use my old Super Soaker, load with water (if got hot water from flask then I load with hot water), then shoot from far. Once it drop down, I will use something like newspaper or what to whack. But usually if I used hot water, it will be half cooked and overturn already, so let the burn kill it.

i think maybe put some garlic around the house might help(heard from older folks) or izzit ginger?

I think I hate roaches more than lizards, especially those can fly. Blind roaches! Fly smack into the face also can.
Anyway, much as I dislike being cruel to living things, I got to say I hate and fear lizards because of a personal incident in my family. My pregnant aunt was walking along her HDB corridor one night, then a big fat lizard from the beam above her fell on her, she got a rude shock and collapsed. And end up, she lost her baby. LOST MY COUSIN because of a gecko! -

hey leave them alone man. geckos can really control the other pests that lurk in your house like cockroaches and mosquitoes. you will thank them for preventing you from getting dengue fever or other more serious illness.

my friend actually use something to smack them and boil them .. or pour hot boiling water on them while they are struggling ... =\

I hate geckos! i like geckos because they're cute and make those cute chikchak sounds. but if you can see adult geckos in your house, it can only mean there's gecko food around to have sustained them to maturity. like cockroaches, spiders, centipedes which keep low profile. but if you get rid of geckos, those pests are gonna keep higher profile. anyway, i always thought people in S'pore call them 'bi fu'. -

There are no cockroaches or mosquitoes in at my place. It's super clean. I had enough of them. So far I've kill 15 of them myself (I'm a girl living alone wor) in the past 6 months, using insecticide (I've used up 3 big bottles already!!!)
I'm hoping got easier or cheaper method to kill them without my apartment becoming a insecticide hub.
