hmmmm, time for an ANTI MAN U fan like me to pyschoanalyse why we behaved in this way.
1) Envious of MAN U's success.
Time to debunk that myth. As we all know, Liverpool was at her peak in the 80s and they are not my favourite team too. Mine is Arsenal for ur information. However, i repected them as a great team with a great bunch of followers. Their anthem never fails to arouse me. Hey, they might not be "my" club, but they sure deserves my admiration.
Manchester is a different story altogether. The early teams of the 90s i had a grudging respect for them...the era of Cantona and Hugh. Great players them. However,the latter year team just pisses me off with their antics onfield and offfields. Sportsmanship went down the drain with players like Beckham
and Scholes insisting on their goddamm given rights to be brats in the field. Hey, it's one thing to be proud and feel confident about ur own team but another to be arrogant. To me, the current team just smacks of arrogance...all the way from their manager SIR Ferguson (who blatantly condone his "brats" behaviour on the field) to their followers.(who think every other teams sucks and that theirs can do no wrong) Sigh, how can we not be pissed about them??
sigh, so tiring to restrain myself from sounding vulgar and resorting to nasty terms about Man U. well, i will insist cos i will not degrade to their level by shouting vulgarities. Shall continue next time and by the way, i enjoyed the match. Real Madrid was simply unstoppable

Why the surprise when they are given a footballing lesson by a top draw team? Lazio did it to them in the Superwhatsit Cup and Vasco in the Club World Championship. True, they have had their moments of genuine class (beating Fiorentina at Old Trafford, beating Arsenal at Highbury) but they defended against Real as if they were playing West Ham or Boro. All credit to Real. No way were they lucky on the night - they were lucky when the quarter-final draw was made....

As for up front, Andy Cole has to go. United need to spend big and bring in a top class striker, Cole does OK in the Premiership but, when it comes to the big Euro matches, he goes AWOL.
