seriously, i intend not to have kids in future. firstly, i tik living in this world esp in singapore is so terrible. kids have to face those tedious sch work and the competition take place during work in future. then secondly, i don think i am able to provide them happiness and the care they want. it not about jus giving birht to them only. it is a life time issue. u have to be responsilbe for them for the rest of ur life. so i consider not having any kids in future.

I don't want to get married, but I'd like to have children. I'd prefer a girl. But I don't mind a healthy young boy either. At least I can take him running at MacRitchie.
In fact I'll only not mind having a boy if the child can run well. -

I agree with you, Singapore is now in a very terrible mess, just look at most Singaporean teenagers, they bring lots of social problems! And to think that our government is still encouraging women to give birth without looking at the current social problems. The future Singapore society will be a disaster.

Initially I wanted.. but my gf keeps telling me that its painful and frankly i agree.. seen the process before.. haha she downloaded them for me to see.. i won't faint but seeing the whole process.. its like major ouch.. and it may be dangerous for her and the baby too..

I'm a proud daddy of 2 very young kids, and of cos it's very tough for my wifey and I juggling between work and family, but I wouldn't give it up for anything else. We've got frens who are desperately trying for kids but unsuccessful, so we know how lucky we are. Of cos it's a big responsibilty, and trust me, your world gets turned upside down once you have the first child, but I guess most of you here are still young, your priorities are somewhere else. You will probably not start to appreciate it until you get into late 20s or early 30s, or when you see your close frens having their own family.
Bottom line - enjoy it while you do, there's no point thinking about it now, cos your view may change someday anyway!

I'm a Catholic. Yeah was taught not to use birth control, but can use natural family planning. In some countries, the less educated Catholics tend to have many children. i think if i were to get married, i would have children only after serious and considerable planning, esp financial planning for life with children. coz i notice too many families in this society failed to do tt; they only really start planning after the child is out, or worse, they dun have any plans. they'll say things like yes, we're ready, it's time to have kids, need to have a legacy, start now or it's too late, yah for parents, for government, bla bla bla...
but in fact most of them are not ready; not ready to take up and execute the responsibility of bringing up the children properly; i think parents play a very important part in giving their children a good headstart in the society, or rather in this filthy world. if they have children just for the sake for having children, and dun a good job in moulding the child right fr the start, i think it's very unfair for the child... -
