Eng Wah Director's Seat or GV Gold Class?

HI, since we're on the topic of movies... can i check with you guys on this?
who ever watched movies in the premium seats offered by this 2 operators?
GV Gold Class only avaliable in Great World City, $50 to admit two... two reclining chairs separated by a table for soft drinks and pop corn... in an exclusive theatre which only houses 30 gold class seats
Eng Wah's Director's Seat widely avaliable including Suntec and TPY... $25 to admit two... plush sofa seats with table in front... these seats are situated right at the back of normal theatres... so basically you will be sharing the theatre with ordinary movie folks..

Been to GV Gold Class a no. of times.
Sits like 20 in a theatre. Fantastic place.
Esp. if u wanna feel pampered and to
receive exclusive traetment.
Theres a lounge that sits like 15 people
located on the second floor of GV Grand.
Exclusive only to Gold class. Wong Lilin
and her beau. been spotted there a no. of
times. You can turn up early for your movie.
Stroll into the lounge, order a drink, make
urself comfy and read a magazine or look
at all the other people ($8.50) queuing
downstairs for their tickets. hee, it kindda
feels good. You can then place your orders..
standard fare and popcorn and drinks ..
of course.. since its Gold Class.. they have
stuff like wine, beer, cakes, deserts, chicken
wings, pizzas and even champange. Of course,
be prepared to pay a bit more.
You then go into the Gold Class cinema.. the
layout is like 2 fully recling chairs thats like 180
degrees with a tea table between the chairs.
There are also blankets like on an airplane.
Word of advise.. ask for a new one.. inside
source reveals that they never change the
blankets unless requested. Then the service
crew comes in midway thru your movie and
serves you while kneeling down.
Cool huh. Be prepared to pay thou. Every
item there cost like approximately 35% more
then outside. I know cos my gf works there.
Its quite an experience, trust me. -
gv gold class is cool, esp if you are watching long movies like lotr or maybe harry potter. like what spumkin has said, you will feel very pampered.
minus point is that i find the screen too small (can't expect a big screen for 20 pax). so for action-packed movies, i think a bigger and wider screen will fare better. also, unless u are taking the 1st row (which is a bit too near to the screen), i find those waiters or waitresses who are serving in the middle of the show a turn-off. -

i've been to both.
GV Gold Class is definitely much better than EW. It's like watching movies in Raffles Class of SQ flight

Are there any couple seats? IE a booth for two people to sit in? Like a couch in any of the Cinema?

esp Suntec...
but sometimes got "railing" in front (sun plaza)......and i short.....plus half sit half lie.....sometimes cannot see the subtitles.....
unless the movie is ultra-long and super-worth-watching then i will consider GV gold class...... -
