sure, i understand your desire to save souls, to bring people to Christ but veiled threats are not likely to work and please don't even tell me that the signs of the end of the world is near, every generation has its own interpretations but they have yet come to pass, so why scare people into submission? do they love God because they want to or do they love God because they're afraid that they'll burn in hell and thus submit to God? which group of people do you think God wants?
lastly, if you're so convinced that the end is near like in 20, 30, 40 or even 99 years, why don't you donate all your earthly possessions away?
why work so hard at a future that you're convinced that will not stand the test of time and God's grace?

I actually wanted to let this thread die down by itself, but someone keeps bring it up and I have to clarify myself.
What I mean by saying 'we are going to die soon', I was refering to die by OLD AGE.
We are going to die by old age in a few tens of years isn't it?
Don't tell me you can live untill 200 years 300 years?
It's juz chicken and duck talk between you and me. How will I know when judgement day is going to come?? -
It does not matter that Colette was referring to armageddon while you were referring to personal judgement. The essence of her post trys to remind you of some really important ideas of what your religion is all about... and naturally, you are as usual, too complacent to comprehend. instead you wrote what you wrote, surely you must have meant something else far more prophetic other than the certainty that everybody dies at some point in their lives? ah well, if you insist, then perhaps i would suggest that you stick to plain English in future.
living to 200 or 300 is not going to be an impossibility the way scientists are trying to play God these days but do i wish to live that long? iÂ’ve no idea, God willing, iÂ’ll live that long but if Christ decides that itÂ’s time for me to go home to file a report, i die, when He so wishes.
thereÂ’re only 2 certainties in life, one get borne and one dies when itÂ’s time for one to account for oneÂ’s time spent on earth by the One who created us in the very beginning.
having a discussion on religion is entirely possible when one does not force oneÂ’s views and convictions down the otherÂ’s throat, each of us definitely thinks that our God is the true one. as a Christian, i think that itÂ’s best to let God work in their lives and bring them to Him Himself, what we need to do is to lead exemplary Christians lives, that surely will convince people more than not practicing what we preach?

My conscience is clear. There is no need for me to lie and there is no rule of how I should put it in English.
And to further add my point, since the beginning of this thread I have neither preached nor argued. Please do not pinpoint at me because of what I have done before in the past threads.
The reason you guys posted here against me is because you guys dislike me and you want to flame me, not because I broke my promise by preaching or argueing.
But remember, I will make clarifications as long as it's against me, and this thread will be up as long as you guys keep posting.

have you ever wondered why whenever you post in religious thread, you tend to get sort of "attacked"? it's the words you used and the way you phrase them, that's why i suggested that you stick to simple English. there're many ways of getting your point across, cajoling, gentle persuasion, etc, etc, except that yours tend to be more confrontational, which works to your detriment instead of helping your cause. i understand your desire to bring people to Christ but it may help if you try to be less confrontational in future, that's if you don't mind me telling you all this. *shrugs*

I couldn't help but agree. But I shan't make an essay out of it. I would just like to say, some people are just too easily agitated. And they carry their points across in the most generally unacceptable way. That explains the flaming. Colette here has posted numerous posts......many of her views might be a little extreme too, but I don't see her getting flamed??? The difference between Colette and PooPooMoon is just a nick, so there must be some other reason then??? And it is not because someone hates someone, there is no ground for that......
