Do we really have that much objects and places of intrigue that can be compiled to build up interest in our sunny little island?

Well, from my prespective, compared to other countries in the southeast asian region, we don't.

"Why?", you ask. Well, for one thing, SG
is quite small, and our history only traces back to circa 1800++ AD. What about culture? Yes, we do have a mixed cultural and ethnic background, but really, a sense of identity is lost in a cocktail of multi-racial and cultural backdrop that is supposedly the essence of Singapore.
What is it, to be Singaporean? What makes us so special and different? I can never answer that.
As for the wiki,

there's always Sentosa and the Singapore Zoo, right?

Cheerios~
