In NYP hor... Our lectures rite, we need to scan our student card as prove of our attendance...
I feel tat it is so stupid lor! Sometimes people jus give their cards to their friend to scan, or scan liao, then go off...
Unless sway sway teacher do spot check n tak manual attendance, call up one by one, which is very seldom or nev lor...
Sometimes our friend suddenly sick, so didn't have their card... We jus go down identify ourself as them coz the lect also dunno us n our names... Then the attendace taken liao...
Haha... Tis kinda of dishonestly... Wat to do? Haha

But i thought those lecturer now are supposed to manual take attendance?? If the lecturer trust u all, then no need manual take.....
But tell ya, NYP aso noe we are abusing this but they most probably not going to do anything about it coz they trust us we are mature enough to make the right decisions. Don't come to lecture is your business. -

Elearning sucks lor. We need to go Elearning Plaza right. That one no teacher to take attendence feel so unsafe and somemore recently my group people never go, then their attendence minus but who is there to take attendence?

Depends lah, some lecturers are really gd at teaching. Tell you sumthing, adopt a positive attitude towards learning will be gd for u.

but then no body to tak attendance anywae... no one bothers...
not much questions really come out lor... at most one or two questions only...
mayb u all can tak turns or divide, each person do somethin... coz we usually go copy n paste then print it out, n photo copy for the whole class lor.... jus to read thru only lah...
Unless u got CBT, tat one really impt n must go view n copy... Unless it applies to u lor... My course need... other courses i not sure. -
Well I believe when u are in poly, u should be old enough to think for yourself whether u should attend lecture.... there's no pt having the lecturers forcing the students to attend

True. I skip ALL lectures for one module because the lecturer is simply reading from the notes. A lot of my classmates also skip for the same reason. Depends on what school you are too, and what is your status. Like for me, school of design (yeah the bunch of "prudes") we only have like 100 something students...oh yeah and no lectures anymore though but back when we did have easy to see who is not around, espcially if you're high profile type
Anyways, nowadaes for my school they enforce signing signature as prove but our classes are so small 10-20 students at a time so easy to tell who's not there. -

In school of health science, i think tat the largest amt of people is in nursin... Intake tis yr was 1200 i think... Compared to last yr, 1000 people... Smallest is the dental therapy... Hmm... Think only accept 12 -20 people last yr... Tis yr, i dunno liao...

ha, in NTU, no such hting, i skipped all but the 1st and last lecture of Engineers and Society...full strength should be 1K...actual strength when it is not last lecture is 20...hahah
