Actually, many of the Catholic churches have tried to apply for permit to build multi storey car parks before the start of renovation due to the increasing need of parking lots. But most of the time, for whatever reasons, they are not allowed.
One of the churches was the Holy Family Church (commonly known as the Katong Catholic Church). This is one parish with mostly car owners and/or rich people (BG George Yeo attends that church...hehe). Anyway, a few years ago, they decided to tear down the build and reconstruct it with more space for worshippers. They also asked to have multi-storey car parks. But dunno why gahmen didn't allow (maybe will cause dangers or damages to other buildings nearby if build too high??? dunno. just guessing). So now they can only have car park on the ground floor which only consists less than 100 parking lots. -

yah, admit that he was wrong to do wat he did, but I sympathise wif him cos I properbly will oso do that if it happened to me... However, is it really necessary for the church to call the police? they could have simply gotten their ppl to drive their cars away.....

Again with regards to this topic, as i said in the other thread, this is a typical Singapore lang behaviour, I dont think can be narrowed down to any religion or denomination...
In Bukit Batok MRT that area, they have to built concrete pavement in the middle of the road, so that the road is narrowed and if any car stop, it will block all other cars. Same thing with the road at my block.
Altho car park is just one min away (or even less), they still park illegally and causing congestions... -

It is so common, some people are just so inconsiderate. Take my stupid neighbour- There are ample carpark nearby- (only 5 steps away) but just plain lazy. Spoken nicely to him many times already, still happening. Sometimes drive me crazy, I just sound my horn. Traffic police shd come & book all these people

Saw one part I dont like.
One managing director who is a resident was interviewed. He said John (the one who disrupts the church service) will be overreacting if its just for one month. However, John has been tolerating it for three years.
I dont get it. Even if they park illegally for one day must tolerate meh? First they broke the law. Secondly, they inconvenienced others. What if there are emergencies, and the residents need to drive their cars out immediately? Thirdly, blatantly park in front of someones gate (someone shld see the pics) buay paiseh one?
