Woman cabby brutally murdered in taxi
A WOMAN cabby was found murdered and her body left lying on the floor of the back seat of her vehicle in a deserted road in Tuas early on Wednesday.
At about 4.40am, Madam Lim Choon Fang had triggered the distress device in her cab to alert the cab company's call centre, but she did not respond when the centre contacted her.
Police who were alerted traced her vehicle some 90 minutes later to Pioneer Sector Walk, where they found Madam Lim lying face up in a pool of blood in the taxi.
She had injuries to her forehead, face and legs, said a police spokesman.
The engine of her taxi was turned off and the doors were shut.
CID officers at the scene recovered some S$118 in cash as well as a cash card worth S$18 from the vehicle.
Madam Lim had spoken to her husband Ang Kim Weng, who drives the taxi in the day, at about 11 pm on the phone.
She did the night shift as a relief driver.

Thought they supposed to have the system that is able to track the location of every taxi at any point of time?eg useful for telephone bookings too.

if authenticate , can know the true nature of the problem faster
if not authenticate
either its a false signal
or cannot be contacted mar
how often does someone get stabbed/murdered
they are not police or any essential rescue services le
they run business one and this sort of situation is an exception -
eh harloh. if ppl press wrgly, u contact them, they respond, kerrect lah. dis is standard operating procedure lah.

i heard fm my friends whose dads r taxi drivers. If they r asked to drive to desserted areas, they will call up their friends using their HP via hands free wire. Than they will pretend to say "Hey, Ah Tan, I m nw driving in Jurong Ave 2, there is only 1 male passenger in my cab nw, we r heading towards Tuas Ave 1. Wana meet up 4 supper after that, u call me later, ok"
This is to keep other cabbies inform of their location n keep a look out in case something happen. -
