having extra-martial affairs is one of the most irresponsible things a person can do. If you are married to a person, you should jolly well STAY faithful! If you think you can't, then don't get married in the first place! If you think that your husband / wife is not suitable for you after a couple of years of marriage and that someone else is a better option, then get a divorce!

Hmm..... seriously though, retaliation seems to achieve little purpose. I've read in magazines that there are couples who have grown apart, and possibly have their different new beaus, but still stay together coz of the children. My first thought will be "huh?" Imagine the kids' confusion when their dad says "hey, meet ur dad's new gf, XXX!", or when their mum introduces "Kids, this is YYY , ur mum's latest bf".
