Yeah, Ive seen how JI is now structurally. all spanking new. i think my batch must have been the most shortchanged one of all!! you people are so lucky, given wat you have now back then, my frens and i would have given more than our 20% effort.
ok...i sound like an old hag now. but really... if only i could relive just 1 mth of school in JI... sigh.. -

Let me see...did you and your friends pay a visit to JI on the 2nd of August - that's today? 'cause I saw some ex-Jians, in actual fact 3 of them, in school today.

About the spanky new thing...ermm...the school still looks as run down as ever to me, 'cept for the really spanky new, spacious and cool looking toilet located behind the bookshop! Otherwise there really is nothing to brag about. If such be the case then your batch...gulp...must really have been deprived.

I guess nostalgia's in the air - it has to be after studying for 3 years here. All those memories...those little things that define your life...sob...
One day I will have the same sentiments - heck, I am already feeling it from my retirement from CCA!

no. 1:
we didnt have that track thingy with all the courts.. just the lousy field.
no. 2:
we didnt have the muslim western food.
no. 3:
we didnt have internet to bond with frens like this.
no. 4:
we didnt have racial harmony day, which is another reason not to study.
no. 5:
we didnt have those treats for yr 3 students had like going on cruise or like that

and the toilets stink most of the time.
i still say u guys are lucky.

Well, these are the best things about JI that I can think of. (PS: The food is non-existent.)

My Home Tutor is Mr John Pillai but I was not only refering to him - there's also Mrs Chong ML, Mrs Judy Yeow, Mdm Zarina, Mr Charles Chang etc.
See, JI has its fair share of good and dedicated teachers!

So who is your home tutor? i had my fair share of lousy teachers too. my class had this very biased GP teacher who only cared for the boys. whenever I was on MC, she dont give a damn, when it was my fren (who was a good looking guy) who was on MC, she came to him and asked hime if he was ok, and she gave him tips on how to stay healthy, like take vitamins and all that. whats worse, she always give lower marks to us girls, even when they are very alike to the guys.
so unfair!!!
but of course there were favourite teachers too, those who inspire and genuinely believe in us.
anyway, I was from the 94 batch. -

I understand that human beings can never be free from bias but this is ridiculous!

.. ok..i cant say name, but perhaps gives clues? she's short and a chinese woman. is this enough? she was not my home tutor, just GP teacher. that time, my home tutor was Mr. Chuah. He's very nice. and so were all the PE teachers.
