Niche school..

I've heard rumors that we'll be given immensely more funding as a motivation for us to continue in our niche as a Arts and cultural institution...Any comments? Since we are after all quite good in performaning arts and literary arts..something which is lacking in the majority of JCs, which worship science to the extent of idolatry..

Come to think of it...you can easily see the culture that pervades our modern society...ya know..all those silly emphasis on regurgiation that many ppl only know..save for a small few.
What i'm tryin to say is that the few that want something more from life than just grades should be given a place under the sun.Our world is too messed up with all these crap about paper-chase. Personally, this school has taught me one thing....How u grow n learn is just as, if not more important than ur grades....

You're totally right, but until this society grows out of its shackles paper qualification will still prevail. But that doesn't mean that your few "others" will be snuffed out although it will be a lot harder...
As one of my friends once said, the Singapore education system is part of the government's scheme to hold slave our minds and create obedient, subservient citizens. -
