Life is full of lots of up and downs,
And the distance feels further when you're headed for the ground,
And there is nothing more painful than to let you're feelings take
you down,
It's so hard to know the way you feel inside,
When there's many thoughts and feelings that you hide,
But you might feel better if you let me walk with you
by your side,
And when you need a shoulder to cry on,
When you need a friend to rely on,
When the whole world is gone,
You won't be alone, cause I'll be there,
I'll be your shoulder to cry on,
I'll be there,
I'll be a friend to rely on,
When the whole world is gone,
you won't be alone, cause I'll be there.
All of the times when everything is wrong
And you're feeling like
There's no use going on
You can't give it up
I'll help you work it out and carry on
Side by side,
With you till the end
I'll always be the one to firmly hold your hand
no matter what is said or done
our love will always continue on
Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on
Everyone needs a friend to rely on
When the whole world is gone
You won't be alone cause I'll be there
I'll be your shoulder to cry on
I'll be there
I'll be the one you rely on
when the whole world's gone
you won't be alone
cause I'll be there!
And when the whole world is gone
You'll always have my shoulder to cry on....

There once was a man who lived in the Glade; a silent man of thoughts and feelings. One day, a day of clear skies after the rain, he watched to the north and saw further than before. He saw something he has never seen, never heard of. He saw a rainbow. And he fell in love.
As he saw it he dropped everything. He dropped everything to wander up the river, towards the rainbow. He ran through the days to reach it before it disappeared, and restlessly slept through the nights when he could not see it, eager to hurry forward once more. So that he could finally reach his destination.
He ran through days and nights, hardly remembering to eat and drink. Through forests and over hills he ran, towards the distant north. And as he got closer, the rainbow was still there. And so, he stood there by a waterfall. Above it was the rainbow shining, above the white river rushing down the mountain. And he loved it with all his heart.
He climbed up the mountain to stand just under it. And he saw. He saw that he if he jumped very high, he should be able to reach it, to get a hold of it, and be with it. And if he failed he would fall down with the rushing river. To his death.
So he stood, and realized that if he jumped high enough, and if the rainbow welcomed him, he might reach his highest dream, his only dream. But if he failed he would fall to a certain and violent, instant death. He stopped to consider, and walked around to find the perfect place to jump from. He looked up and thought of how to make sure of being accepted. And as he thought, he hesitated.
And it is told in the Glade that if the man has not starved to death yet, and the rainbow has not faded yet, then the man still stands under the shining rainbow, looking for the perfect place, the perfect moment. Knowing he will never find it.
