Wah, donno yesterday my mak chew tak stamp or what, but I was watching the Chan 8 show Beautiful People, and the host Xu Qi (Joey Swee) is damn chio man!!! Donno is the make up or what lah, cos when I went to search for her photo online don look as good as in the program leh...
Anyone else share my view

FIRST, the good news: Channel 8's Beautiful People is a less obvious Channel U copy than Sunday's Foodie's Delight.
Then, the bad news: It has Joey Swee.
Each week, Dasmond Koh and Joey, together with a stylist from their sponsor Jean Yip Group, seek people ripe for a makeover.
But, sometimes, that is not what the person wants.
Despite the hard work by the salon's creative team, some contestants do not seem exactly pleased, even as they are mouthing compliments.
The second contestant from the first episode looked obviously unhappy with her makeover.
Even her friends couldn't muster any sort of excitement.
When she met her colleagues, the first remarks were: "You look very mature," and "How are you going to school like that?".
That hardly qualified as a good beginning for the series.
But sour-faced contestants are hardly the biggest of the show's problems.
Joey Swee is.
A good host knows there is a fine line between being in control of a show and being controlled by the show. Joey doesn't.
Squealing and screaming her way around don't work. And frankly, it gets very trying after a while.
The problem becomes more obvious when she meets her more experienced colleagues.
In one segment, she bumps into Patricia Mok. And in those few minutes, Pat outclasses her totally.
I take back whatever I have ever said about Fiona Xie's hosting abilities, because Joey has taken the crown of TV's worst host.
When Fiona met Joey, there was more screaming and yelping than one can humanly endure.
These two women seemed more intent on having fun than sharing fun.
Hopefully, the producers can rein in Joey's tendency to be over-excited. Or they should consider roping in Pat Mok, or someone else more experienced.
Otherwise, there is no real reason to watch the show. -

that was almost a thesis on her! haha...
i didn't watch much of the show. Its in that 1 minute that I was in front of the TV that she caught my eye (and my eye gets caught easily I must say)...
but she had her hair tied up in some way if i remember correctly, and it was rather... messy. looked good on her.
