Long Distance Relationships

OK... I thought I will start a topic that should be familiar to some of us... Which forumite amongst us has been or is in a LDR? Any tips to share on how to keep the relationship strong?
Personally, 4 out of 5 of my relationships have been LDRs (no choice. job makes me run all over the world)... I must say that it's not easy, and it takes more effort from each half to make the relationship work and to make it easy for the other party.
But nonetheless, I believe that it IS possible for a LDR to grow even stronger as the days go by even without seeing each other often, and I believe that LDRs can work, tough as they may be... (yeah, I know I have a pretty bad track record, but it's not because of distance that I broke up with my ex)
Any experiences to share? Comments? Disagreements?

I think trust is most important.. coz we tend to let our imagination run wild like if we cant get him/her. Its all in e mind. If there's trust n commitment... distance doesnt matter.
also depends on individual.. if he/her is e sticky type..always wanna be with him/her then quite jialat... definitely will affect a bit lor -

It's really hard to maintain a long dis relationship. People have to be together to start a relationship. If it's so distance, I think the relationship wouldn't be that strong. -

As I said. It's hard to maintain a good long distance relationship. Sometimes when two people are sitting together and saying nothing, there is also a big difference. Hmmm. Hard to explain. Heard it on the radio before.
