I've already noticed this since the 1st time I stumbled here. It's not only this forum, but all others in sgforums too. Some even mentioned it's like graveyard here. Topics discussed here usually talks about problems or things faced by adolescence, sometimes only on friends & love but nothing else. Seldom forumers here like talking about current affairs. This also shows the age group of the visitors & forumers here. Some might be here only to view the pics. & not the forum.
I feel alright with what slivergal does even though some topics might seem "bo liao". I feel that if u dont like then just dont reply or dont click on the topic again. Having more discussions and topics is better than not having any..Furthermore there's a recent surge in activity, you never know, sgGirls might even overtake chit chat on the top 20 list. This forum doesn't make up her alone. It's inevitable that she does help but that will not solve the problem. A community doesnt consist of a few individuals..the moderators have to take some blame too. There's always a balance in everything that happens in this world..
And i think forum is a place for people to voice their views & say anything they like. But if forumers use this place solely for making friends & organising outings then they get so familiar with each other..their identities revealed, do u think they would still share their experiences ? Many would be reclusive. There's always a price to pay. You never get the best of both world. -
