happened to passed by a pasar malam last evening, where u can already hear different songs played by a few stalls thru their stereos, especially those selling CDs.
then there was a CNY tune playing that caught my attention, which the vocal went something like:
xing bu lai, xing bu lai, da ting fang guan cai... hey hey yeee ya hor hey...... then blah blah blah, blah blah blah......
i stopped short and frowned, wondering what the lyrics actually was. thus i stopped by at that stall pretending to look for CDs, while waiting for the tune to repeat that sentence again.
and when it did repeat, i was very sure i heard the lyrics meant:
xing3 bu4 lai2, xing3 bu4 lai2, da4 ting1 fang4 guan1 cai2 (singlish equivalent: can't wake up, can't wake up, living room put a coffin).
geez... how's that for a CNY tune?
but anyway, this afternoon, i've already find out what the lyrics are:
xing4 fu2 lai2, xing4 fu2 lai2, da4 di4 fang4 guang1 cai3 (english equivalent: here comes the happiness, brightness spreading across the land).
either that stall was selling pirated CDs, or their stereo is of a poor quality that muffled the vocal until it sounds inauspicious......
hahahaha heard tis joke when i in sec sch. . .think sec sch more fun ppl r more jokers & crappers~
