I think its a well known fact by now that people are controlled differently by 2 sides of the brain. My point is this, the regret most likely might come from the emotional side. As in you will say to urself y u din follow ur heart. Becos I think there are some things in life dat cant really be controlled in the rational way. And very often we seek out rational explanations or reasons to explain them. Well.. for that instance, probably, u will get some peace, but it comes back to haunt u later when u realised that at that point in time u shud really have listened to ur emotions... and there is no way to rationalise it...
On the other hand, if its things dat one can rationalise, then even if it comes to regretting it, I suppose one can always rationalise his/her way out of it.. so no big deal..
I cant think of examples to illustrate these cases, but just wat i think.. -
