Giving things to gals

I have this so called "godsis" of mine.It was her idea to be godsiblings,not mine.To be able to progress to this stage means that we are more than casual friends.Ever since then,I have sent her cards,nothing expensive or fanciful,during any special occasions such as Christmas,New Year or her birthday.I was hoping that she gives me something for Valentine's Day/Friendship Day but nothing.So far,I have sent her a few cards,but I have not received anything in return.
I am sick and tired of giving all the time and not getting a bit of appreciation.
Yes,I know we should give without any expectations.But if you keep giving without any reciprocity,I think you will look stupid.Don't you think so?

giving but not taking. sometimes the recieving part doesn't need to be a tangible good.
she might be using you. i know some people like that. talk to you when they are lonely, when they are busy with their friends he/she just dump you one side like trash. sounds like spare tyre to me -

Sometimes godsis or stuff like that.. to third parties, it can be seen like... both of u re only there for each other when bored or lonely.. its something like hu(4) siang(1) li(4) yong(4). Its understood if u look at it in a more practical way but its logical right? So i believe in the first place, u shldnt put so much effort in it. U made urself look silly~ Why regret or have negative feelings like that when u have already decide to do it in the first place right?
