Whether SARS is caused by a Coronavirus or Paramyxovirus, it is definitely caused by a virus.
As of this date, the only known ways proven successful in "preventing" or treating viruses involve boosting the natural immune response to the specific viral strains involved. To protect a person who has not yet been exposed, vaccines are given, which give the immune system an advance warning and allow the immune defenses to get a quick, vigorous "jump-start" on fighting the virus once the person is exposed to the real thing.
Once someone has already been exposed, a combination of vaccines and immune globulin specific to the virus (IG containing high levels of antibodies to the specific viral strain) can sometimes help save lives, even in cases of serious viral diseases like rabies--IF the treatment is given quickly enough!
Antibiotics have no use whatsoever against viruses, and can even be harmful, because they destroy "friendly" bacteria which help digestion and put additional stress on the body. And so-called "antiviral" drugs have not proven successful to any great extent against any virus, despite costly public relations and marketing efforts by the pharmaceutical industry.
Here is a article on building your immune system:
EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE

Boost your immune system and breathe easy naturally
Decades of scientific research Have shown a way that we can boost our immunity by changing the quality of the air we breathe to be electrically charged the way that nature intended it to be, with small negative air ions of oxygen
Boosting Immunoglobulin
How exactly do negative ions "boost immunity" and do all these other things? Scientists really aren't sure of all the "how's" (e.g. how a bumble-bee can fly, for that matter!). However, research from universities all over the world, including Australia's La Trobe University, clearly showed that small negative air ions of oxygen, when breathed in, increase the body's production of Immunoglobulin A (IgA).
The study from LaTrobe states that "such a finding is suggestive of an enhancement of the immune response as a result of negative ionisation...IgA guards against viral and bacterial attachment and colonization of mucous membrane." In Australian English that means it helps stop bugs invading your lungs!
Research from Australia's National University (ANU), the Pavlov Institute in Russia, and St Bartholomew's Hospital in London showed that improved lung capacity and relief from asthma symptoms are achieved quite rapidly by exposure to small negative air ions.
