Do u know tat most company outside are actually paying the uni grad to work as a dil grad provided if the uni grad is willing to take the lower salary pay.
In S'pore, every company look at tat piece of paper. The higher the piece of paper u have, the higher pay u get. If a ITE grad expect a salary of something similiar like a uni grad, den in the first place why a uni grad study so hard? They can just go ITE and get a cert with full distinction and go find a job. Every society, there is a class for different ppls.
To make it sound bad, u can only blame urself why u are in ITE? Becos of ur wildful days when you are young. Doesnt wan to study, just only think of have fun, fun and fun. If u had pay more focus into ur studies back den, u would had be a uni grad.
The ITE provide it students an education which involve more practical hands-on. The poly provide students with an education of understanding and some hands-on. The uni provide students with an education to understand, hands-on and thinking skill.
Though I may say ITE education is good. But my ITE lecturer once told me this, "wat u learn in school, u might only get to use less than 30% when u are working next time" and my lecturers actually encourage us to take up a dilopma cert if we have the chance. This is call upgrading. ITE is just a starting for you. If u are looking down on urself, how can u expect ppl to look up on u?
btw, I remembered I read some articules that some mature ITE grad are actually drawing a higher salary from the company compare to uni grad. But it's only a few. And why they are drawing a higher pay? Cos they are willing to upgrade themselves with more knowlegde and education.
