I don't really agree with you, I mean if both are really 'steady' , then everytime sweet nothins will seem very awkward loh. Moreover, you girls also complain if we guys do it. Sometimes it is really a 'Lose Lose' situation, where if we be sweet to the girl, she might say we are not sincere, otherwise she will say we are not caring enough. Just an opinion, no offence.
On a note I think mutal trust and understanding is what really matters. -

Sometimes girls are just like it that way.. more choices.. i am not saying all the girls but some girls just like to have the feeling of someone to be good to them, to be there whenever she needs him. I got a friend who likes this girl and chasing her for a few years... she went out with him... very close to him.. but just didn't commit to him.. it has been dragging on for a few years untill my friend just gave up. Some girls just don't wish to have a relationship and being tied down but wanna have the feeling of love and care.
p.s Not talking about all the girls, just some examples that i knew of. -
