i remember last year, my friends and i played this game...
we sat ard, and changed our names... so if u called the person by a different name... u would get forfeited...
and the forfeit was, the group would pick the girl, u would go ask for her number...
we got quite a number, whether its real or fake, we dunno... coz we never called~ hahahaha!
but the thing is that we managed to get numbers... sooo... i guess thats ur answer... just go up and ask

Hahaha there was once whereby we were suppose to help out with the NDP parade....my friend wanna know this pretty gal which help out at the store At that time i was kind of bored so i take up his game~if i were to help him get the gal he will treat me anything,remember i was at the stadium and since i am wearing the 'UNIFORM' we shouldn't flilrt around~kekeke Oh btw the sirs are all there lots of people there but they were all ns guys
I went forward to the gal,smile at her and at the same time i take up my hp and ask for her number the same time
she was 
and i think the lady beside her was her mum and behind her are two guys 
they were looking at me 
i think one of them is her brother and the other guy is her bf 'WORST' still all my sergent were 
cause they wanna get her number too but they were too afraid to sign extra for that The best part came after that~my sergents approach me and scold me cause they were jealous~kekeke what i told them were 'its nothing la just a number~what for so jealous about it' they were so one off them try to cool my sergent down as he was so piss off That was the first and only time whereby i approach a gal and ask for the number.
BTW i didn't sign anything for it~hahaha -
Ya Ya!!Agreeee...hee..juz go up n ask...coz today I juz helped my fren to get the number of a gal when we were hanging around...

Well, Im not trying to discourage you but just being realistic here.. If you got the looks, you would have 99% chances of getting any girl's no. That's the way life is... *shrugs*
And about some1 who said some girls look shocked or afraid when approached, it might be cause the guy looks scary or intimidating, well, that's from MY personal point of view..
Oh & a word of advice, dun ask your friends to help you, DO IT YOOURSELF... prove tt you've got the balls... else it's very insincere and if your fren is cuter, the girl might just end up more interested in him than you...
