Do not DO a 100% water change..just 50% will do, add aquarium salt, + Anti Cholorine. The betta should be OK.
I will try to post some photos of my Betta after taking photos of them.

1 Steel Blue SD Betta from Betta Kingdom... I don;t really like him and feel like giving away or exchange for other Bettas.
8 CrownTail Bettas
2 Red CTs from Betta Kingdom and Arising Aquarium
2 Black Orchids with 1 having 4 rays!! from Rainbow Aquarium and Arising Aquarium
1 Yellow CT from Straits
1 Cambodia CT from Betta World
1 PURE White CT from Straits
1 Pastel/marble CT from Betta Kingdom
3 Plakats/Imbellis
1 Turquoise Masked Imbellis from Uncle Seng
1 Marble Plakat from Uncle Seng
1 Blue Masked Crown Moon Plakat from Uncle Seng
Waiting to get that PURE RED Plakat from uncle Seng
The HMs that I saw at Uncle Seng's farm looks more like SD as it tailfin when flare, did not open up to 180 degree
There are a no. of HM youngs in jar on sale. I don;t dare to buy as I am not sure whether they are SD or REALLY HM
I give the following to my Bettas
1. 50% waterchange + Aged water + Salt + a little bit of Anti Chlorine + Ketapang leaves Extract
2. Give them a mixture of frozen red worms or frozen mosquito larvae from straits aquarium

Bettas do fall sick like we human and please have the following with U at all time
1. Ketapang leaves
2. Ocean Free Internal Bacteria and Ulcer Away
3. Ocean Free Anti Velvet, Slime
4. Yellow Powder
5. Aquarium Salt for salt bath

why cannot 100% water change ?

The betta will be under stress as the temperature of the water is change. Retain 50% or more of the original water, pour away the rest + those wastes/food from the Betta. Wash the tank thoroughly.Originally posted by chunyong:why cannot 100% water change ?

no lah, I never say his fish no good, its me myself I just started this hobby 4 months ago. This is the first time I saw betta with tail like skirt, I thought the fish suppose to swim slowly and not active. I was not aware that he is sick. Uncle seng's HM r still about 2-3 months old depending on which batch of his fish u wan to buy. A true HM wun take such a short time to tell whether is it a true HM. About 3-4 months old.....an estimate time. Ive got 2 from him....1 turned out to b HM and d other SD. I got em when they were young.
Uncle seng has another batch of new HMs...go check it out.
