well as shown on the subject, wat do u think of this??
Wat i mean by close is not physically.. but say... emotionally

I have a quite a good female friend, a purely platonic relationship. Many times i had fallen in love with her, but was able to hide the fact and get out of the spell. And she doesn't know all these. Til date we're still very good friends.

It is hard, I'm speaking from personal experience cos my best friend happens to be a guy. There was indeed one period of time when we tried having a relationship, but we broke up cos it was so weird cos he is practically a brother to me.
You will feel some sort of feeling somewhere along the way, but it depends on how u handle them.
People who dont have a close friend of the opposite sex dont know what they're missing out on. I treasure him more than any of my other friends. There are just some things that only guys understand. And, sometimes it doesnt hurt to have an opinion from the opposite sex, like when choosing clothes or perfume cos girls and guys have different tastes.
Plus, a guy can watch out for you.

it's depend on how maturity both parties r to handle n mk clear line of this r/s...
but is it not impossible to have a close guy friend.. i do have a veri close guy friend where he is more than an ordinary friend...
so it's up to individual thinkin on hw u treat him/her is...... -

well, firstly. i would be afraid that i will give the wrong impression to the girl, then she become interested in me, then i would be in a very uncomfortable situation.. that happens..
on the other hand.. i in the end developed feelings for the girl, and end up getting hurt in the process.
what i feel is. can get close, but not too close.. -
possible...esp when tt girl not attractive hhaa.
if otherwise...its also possible....i am doing it now. -

It is usually inevitable that such would happen. I have a very good girl-friend myself, and 2 times i had very big crushes on her. On my side, i simply tried my best to conceal my feelings for her loh, because i only want to keep the relationship platonic. Afterall, i perceive both of us to be extremely incompatible by romance but very good as friends. So i am saying that maintaining such a friendship is possible, only that it is very difficult (especially when the your friend is very chio/yandao).

i've a very close guy friend.. we are friends for about 6 yrs + liao... both of us have gf/bf... but i do find him whenever i have prob or when im bored. we'll also meet for lunch or dinner sometimes.. but now, not that often liao... cos we are both very busy with our own stuff... so i think guys and gals can be close friends.. but indeed, its very rare...
P.S: i've never fallen for him.. he too...

Frankly is all abt the 2. Defintely got ppl tease and stuff.. but as afr as the 2 are concern.. u noe tat it is only friendship and nothing else matters. BEing friends comes from the heart too, so ya.. it can be done.. -
