Wat Do Girls really want from a guy?

ok... Since most of you says that I'm wrong to assume that Singaporean women have changed for the worst, then can anyone tell me what do Singaporean women want from guys?
I've got my fair share of my ex telling me if i do certain things, i will please her, but when i do it, it turns out to be the opposite. -

i have already found my soulmate and i'm very happy to have him.
there are however some materialistic people out there. i know one particular one, who wants "good looks, rich, smart, treats her well". the connection between two minds is not even mentioned.
you will find love one day. you will find what you look for. if you look for the wrong things, you will find them too. and sometimes cupid does strike when you least expect it.

The reason why I post messages on this forum is seek first to understand. Because I gave my all in a relationship, it failed. Somewhere along the way, something went terribly wrong and a relationship just failed like that when initially its just so sweet.. I just frustrated why time and time again it happens.. thats why I will strive to understand more about women and improve more on myself so as to have a successful relationship the next time round...
