We want fair election

I would like to share my view for the past 9 days... Before I was quite supportive of PAP and know little of WP and the rest but after these 9 days of persuing the news mainly from the forum and online blogs which people posted.. I had a different view. Although I am still not a pro PAP and not pro opposition... After the election report... I believe most of the wards did what they deserved.. except for Steve Chia and Alujunid... I strongly hope that Silvia Lim would had won... But it didn't turn out to be. Anyway It is indeed a great fight in Alujunid so close (Probably the winning edge is by the help of media, Doesn't really like Geoge Yeo anyway). Thru the votes It does show one thing for sure. Singaporean is no longer tempted by the upgrading carrot that PAP offered. Singaporeans and the newer generation are getting mature and more in feel with the politics than just $$$. I want to thank everyone here for posting the news which I was pretty fooled by the media if I had not read the things here and very angry that our media had such a bias stand. (It is so obvious even after the election the coverage for opposition was cut off right after Mr. Low from Hougang begins his speech with a greetings...) You guys are really the real news people!! More real than the Singapore media. All the best to you guys... Mr. Chiam, Mr. Low and Silvia Lim on 2011. I hope 2011 things will be much better and WP will have more better recruits then.

our older generation doesnt believe in defending freedom... they believe in defending their own assets and they sacrifice their freedom for it. now we all yearn for freedom like a baby which has grown up. a baby when its young wants the constriction and that feeling of security... but when it grows up. it needs the freedom it deserves... i am willing to die to defend freedom. i dont know how many of you out there will give your lives for what you believe in. If Anson case is anything to go by, there is a high chance of Aljunied GRC disappearing altogether. Then again, this is not a single seat ward where you can just merge into a bigger entity. But definitely, they are going to shift the electoral boundaries and put in more precincts with hard-core PAP supporters and discard those with lower support.
The bigger issue is not whether the GRC will still be around but whether the WP can keep up the momentum and turn in a better performance. -
Hmm, PAP handled the Ahmed Khalis case really well. Did a clean job on that.
Overall, I still have more faith in Steve Chia than Ahmed Khalis. -

that is if you want solid political discussion, with those really passionate about politics. espcially those who support the alternative parties. You wont find such viewpoints in our biased, pro pap media (ranked 140 in the world for political freedom). -

When the PAP starts to eat cow, they realise it is red meat.. that's when some of them start to wear red shirts.
