To reduce any bias.I dunt cite the source and we just discuss based on the basic facts.
Why and how can they recruit men in 50's and even 60's as regular police recruit and train them.I dunt think any country would let men in this age as auxiliary police,not to mention as regular police.Women of 142 cm is still accepted!!
The worst is there are long Q of able body,qualified(U grad etc) and much younger in the waiting list.
It looks like the new Police Chief want to achieve state police women ratio to 25%!!

The recruiting policy was yesterday described by one serving policeman as "political correctness gone mad".
The Opposition and the Police Association also challenged the policy.
Police command defended the system, saying the force could not legally refuse any applicant on the grounds of age, gender or height.
But some qualified male applicants have waited two years after sitting the police entrance exam and still don't know if they will be accepted.
Thats why we need scholars.They have made many right decisions and get selected to be scholars.
But in this incident,the Police Chief just made the wrong decisions.
How can u waste tax payers $$ to recruit men in 50's to be police while many more eligible people is in waiting list.Men in 50's may do the jobs.But i think younger people can do a better jobs.
How about the retirement money?
IT IS DAMN NOT FAIR TO PEOPLE ,WHEN IT MAY BE FAIR TO THOSE LESS ELIGIBLE RECRUITED!!
We need people to make right decisions at the first time,every time.

1.many here just first look at who post the posting and the country involved the matter before they make their judgement.
We shall judge by the matter,not to the part ,people or country.

5.Dunt tell me the rubbish and universial answer like ''each country or state get particular situation ''.Remember they are many younger,and eligible and qualified (already pass the entrance exam) are waiting.
But i know u will tell me the older recruit may perform much better in interview!!
But shall we decide things as a package,based on all factors involved?

Excuse me!, u seen to be bias.
Why not, this old uncles and aunties are experience and still fit and healthy for the job,some may have less education qualification but they are responsible and loyal.They have time for the job.Unlike some of those youngster nowaday want luxury job and take less reponsible.
We should welcome them back to workforce, as long they are presently still able and there job willing waiting for them. They don't really need high salary to live on, but just for their daily.
Don't worry, they are not threatening or taking over youngster job, they are ex-warrior,gone thru thick and thin.
