JBJ has written an open letter to PM Lee dated 21 July 2008.

This copy of the open letter was received from Mr Ng Teck Siong, Chairman of the Reform Party, on the same day.

Can our PM stand on his own without backing from his beloved dictator papa?

    • This letter was very well written. To know if LHL is a good or bad leader, we shall see how he response to this letter.

But i doubt he will take up the challenge. Perhaps he will just hide behind his father and let his father settle this.

LHL, prove it to us that you are someone who can really lead us and not after our money. Most of us played our part as good citizens and pay taxes. If not, would you be able to draw million dollar salary p.a?

George Bush have done so much shit and gets only USD$400K p.a. You did nothing but get alot more than him! Show us that you're really worth the $3.7M salary!

    • I admire Mr J for his guts, passion and determination.    Long live, Mr J.    May junior Lee respond.     Is Junior Lee still going through infancy stage in his career as PM, why does he need so many ministers to back him up?

      Best wishes to Mr J.

He has 3 to 4 or 5 ministers helping him, isn't this sufficient?

    • my take is this is a very clever letter. it steer clear of specifics less jbj loses his pants again, yet get the point across the LHL should come out a defend the system rather than hide behind the daddy.

this is the type of alternative voice we need, thought provoking but not inciteful (of violence), so people are expose to an alternative view and decide and make informed choices for themselves.

can the present opposition write as succinctly as jbj? i think not. that's why LKY praise Low TK; because he is entry level.

You surely must be joking if anyone can be your favorite opposition ?

What is the use of anyone to be your favorite opposition when you do not believe that democracy will work, AND will want to have "restricted rights on opposition" ?

Have you forgotten your early reply in the other thread shown below ?

Extracting your post from the other thread : “IBA: Prosperity versus individual rights ”

    • Indeed, a clever letter but I can also imagine the intended reader sniggering and choking as he reads.

I'm afraid the fish will not bit, the wolf still hides in sheep cloth.

I think JBJ is the kind of opposition PM Lee fears. Even MM Lee reckons him a threat otherwise he wouldn't bankrupt him so many times

    • To me, it seems like JBJ is itching for an election to come asap. This letter is written as a 'dare' to our PM. If PM accepts, he will likely be labelled as behaving like a kid who accept dares just like that. Yet if he don't accept, he will likely be labelled as a coward by JBJ. Hmmm....

And seems like our resident autistic troll has nothing to say about JBJ's article with his new nicks.

I support the idea that to bring across any message, there is usually no need to be too direct.  Being too direct or without tact could be self-defeating.

TOC's style of 'commenting' is quite safe.

However, I wonder how TOC came about. Is it supported by any agency?

      I really am clueless 100%.

Again u show yourself to make lousy conclusions based on insufficient facts. I do not like democracy and think liberal democracy do not works, doesn't mean I have to hate all the opposition party members.Andy lau acted in some lousy shows before. Just because I hate some of the movies doesn't means I have to everyone involved in the movie. Just because u hate the PAP, it doesn't means u hate all the "old guards" and all the MPs in it as well.
