So many people stood there and waited, hoping to strike 4D, strike Toto, in the end, just have to buy the house at a higher price coz they just kept waiting until they can wait no more.
The govt will never let property prices fall drastically. A drastic fall will have significant consequences to Singapore
That's why people keep buying even when the prices are rocket high!

I wish you luck in waiting.
So far, I see most dismayed after many years.
Imagine a unit you fancied at 400k, 5 years later you are still waiting (assuming a 3-4% increase per annum) -> say it reaches $470k, 5 years later suddenly there's a correction, price drops to $430k, you buy, happily thinking you got a discount.

I think there's a limit to HDB prices.

How can HDB price be low when we have half millions PRs in Siingapore???????
Even if all the first timer sold the HDB, there is still not enough houses for these forigners!!!
Fat hope that HDB will cost less! Singapore govern know how to justify a higher new HDB price by referring to the 'mkt price'

There will ultimately be a tipping point because there is only so much land for so much people.
I have said it before.
When that happens, it is not just an economic problem about dollars and cents but a social problem.

when that happens, those who are waiting for HDB prices to drop should jump in to buy.....
