40mm Air Bursting Munition System (ABMS)
ST Kinetics' 40mm Air Bursting Munition System (ABMS) is the next generation of 40mm munition systems providing greater firepower in terms of higher lethality and improved accuracy. This system can be used on current automatic grenade launchers such as CIS 40AGL, MK 19 MOD 3, ST Kinetics' Super Light Weight Automatic Grenade Launcher (SLWAGL) and other AGLs.
ST Kinetics' 40mm ABMS comprises:
* 40mm Air Bursting Munition (ABM)
* a 40mm Air Bursting Weapon Upgrade Kit
- Fire Control System (FCS)
- Ammunition Programmer (AP)

Is this a "add-on" to the CIS 40MM AGL or is it a totally new weapon.
My thought is that it is an add on as it a laser range finder to estimate target range and then some system to program the 40mm grenade to explode after a designated time delay.
About the fact on the medic.... in a war... the medic no need to fear "out of job" sure very busy... patching everyone up. -
it is said that the surest way of demoralising the troops is to kill the medics... even if it is against the Geneva Convention...
anyway, that's beside the point.. we've created another more effective and efficient method of mayhem...

Squad Support Weapon (SSW)
"In its grenade launcher mode, ST Kinetics' SSW fires existing 40mm low velocity and a new medium velocity round, ABM and conventional grenades. Medium velocity rounds offer users a longer range. Coupled with an FCS, it also offers increased accuracy. This offers an unprecedented lethality in personal defence weapons."

This is another weapon by the ST people which can fire the new ABM ammunition. This weapon looks futuristic but there is not much attention on this weapon. Maybe this will replace the current M203 we are using. Btw is the M203, we are using currently the old M16S1 type or the new SAR-21 variant with launcher? -

ha ha... so i am right.. it is a add-on kit to their existing AGL.
The FCS looks very fragile... can't imagine this to be a production equiped meant for military use.
Probably a phototype for a proof of concept.
There is no way this monster is going to replace the M203 ast stated in one of the emails.
Probably will be in a support company of a infantry BN, jeep mounted or on a LSV.
In armour units maybe will be an upgrade on the 40/50 coupola of the BX and Ultras.
Too heavy. no way can man pack this! -
