Foreigners Do NS then can get Singapore Citizenship?!

i heard from some people that as long as foreign males apply for National Service, after they have completed it they will automatically get Singapore Citizenship. Is that true?
If it is true, then would it be a little too easy for them to get Singapore Citizenship? -
Not every foreigner, only those with PR, or are children of Singaporeans or 2nd Gen PRs I think.

depends on situation. If highly expatriat's child, with place reserved in Univ does NS, 'no reason to refuse'. However, was NSMan (reserveist) with singapore PR (from India), only after serve 13 yr cycle given red passport. Not auto for his child or wife. Singapore still picky after do NS

i think singapore is very cautious such a thing. this is to prevent spies from other countries to know the interior of singapore.
but funny thing is sg willingly to accept china and other countries in. -
Haven't you fellas heard? SGaporeans aren't fucking nowadays. Not many people have many childrens, not with all the steep and increasing cost of living in SG. If you care to look at population growth, it showed staggering increases. My bet is that the bulk of them were foreigners from Taiwan & Hong Kong. Surely you don't want Europeans in large numbers, do you?

there were several malaysian PRs during my BMT. almost 1 per section. 3 in mine.

Only malaysian can sign on and become citizen after a certain no of years in the police or SAF. This is no secret, although selection will be tough. A lot of cisco officers are malaysian.

Thats why a lot of PR of the above status live in malaysian have to come back singapore serve NS. So it is no surprised that there are a lot of singaporeans living and working in malaysia, and marry there and their children will still have to come back and serve NS. Except for those born in malaysia and can get citizenship thru connections, if not they can be stateless in malaysia if born there.
But foreigns who are professional can become citizens if they and their families are worthy to this country, after maybe staying here more than ten years. -
some parents work or study in say australia, give birth there, the child automatically qualify for some benefits like state education when he grows up. The child can apply to study there at local rate after his NS.
