Two were weapons contracts, one to the UK government and the other to an unamed Middle Eastern customer, and the third was a marine equipment contract to Norwegian firm Waveship. ...2.Singapore is the second-biggest seller of AGLs in the world.
It may also be the world's biggest producer of 40mm ammunition for AGLs, having exported more than three million in the last few years.
3.ST Engineering's Land Systems Arm Secures S$42.5m 40mm Ammunition Export Contract
Singapore, 20 February 2008 - Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today announced that its land systems arm, Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd (ST Kinetics), has been awarded a contract worth about S$42.5m by the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD) for the supply of 40mm ammunition. The contract was signed with Advanced Material Engineering Pte. Ltd. (AME), a subsidiary of ST Kinetics. Delivery will begin this year and complete in 2009.
This contract is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.

isreal.... obvious reason.

iraq.... given their current situation... such purchase is best off the records.
syria... same as iran... not very popular with you know who....

ST Kinetics is developing self destructed 40mm ammo and will improve accuracy of air--bursting grenade launcher.

yeah what about Cambodia and Myanmar? our antipersonel mine still doing its duty there......cutting of limbs from 12 year old kids.

singapore is the only manufacturer of 40mm grenades that can comes with SD(self destruct) function that can help minimise collateral damages to civilians....which probably explains why its so popular around the world, especially with the more civilised military.
singapore has already ceased exporting landmines for several years and would probably continue to ban such export in the forseeable future...though we continue to manufacture landmines for our own national defence purpose.
other then landmines.. which few 12 years old could survive against... its never the weapon's fault... but the users responsibilities.... more people are killed and maimed by cars around the world... every day...should we ban cars then?
