Training at Recce Wing is tough but after it's over and posted back to unit, the ride will be smoother.

Oh, Recce are known to be the 'eyes' of the Battalion.

basically u belong to the BRC. u will be post to SMI, School of Military Intelligence, at PLC to attend RCC, Recce Commander Course for about two months which does include going to ROC. To my knowledge, armour recce is tougher than infantry recce b'cos u will be carrying a heavier load of stores wif u during ur mission and walk further and to 'last' longer. But of cos u will be bike trained, the famous Combat Survival Training too.

To correct the previous post, hope the poster do not mind.
To the threadstarter, you're known as amour scout and will be attending either bike course at SAF Driving Centre or bronco/Ultra at an armour camp. After which, you will post in together with your unit fellow commanders to RCC, a 6 weeks local course. No overseas though. After the RCC, you'll then return to your unit and select your men. After your men has completed their bmt, they'll posted to SMI, together with you, your PS and PC. You'll then attend the ASPC - Armour Scout Platoon Course, which is also 6 weeks. If you're lucky, your unit may get to train overseas, in Cresendo.
Armour scout differs slightly from infantry scout. Their workload and objectives are almost the same. Hope that helps.
