Why are there so many liars around?

I don't understand this.. Why are there guys who will go around looking for girls when they are already attached?
I got to know this guy and he was very nice to me.. Always fetching me around and caring for me.. But suddenly, he just backed off and i found out yesterday that he's attached...When he was after me, he said he's single...Now, I really don't know if he's been attached all along or he just patched with his gf...
I feel cheated...More of angry than sad...If you got a gf, just say so..And don't need to avoid me like a plague..Im not desperate for you in the first place...WE WERE JUST FRIENDS by the way... -
what to do..the word lying was specially created for them..

I believe he is leading you on, trying and see which is better or suit him best. His current r/s isnt as strong and he is finding alternative route. This is my opinion, no offence to either or. -

Btw, i'm not generalising all girls...just some of them onli....and of coz, not all guys are what you've encountered...
But based on my past experiences, when i go clubbing with my friends, when the girls asked me if i'm attached or not, i would tell them that me attached or i'll show them my 4th fourth finger on my left hand (a ring attached)...Well, once they know that i'm attached, they walked away...it happened to my male frens too....
There was one occasion when ths girl asked the same question, and my reply was "I'm single"...she did not walked away, and in fact, she got closer to me...
That was then when i realised that why so many guys would lie abt their status....
I understand ur agony that he "cheated" on you...well..treat this as a lesson learnt for you, ya? There're plenty of such guys...juz be careful n open eyes "big big"....

You feel cheated cos he lied to you that he does not have a gf. I agree with this fact he lied to you and it was his fault.
just curious did he asked you to be his gf? or did he asked you for sex?
If not, am I right to say he did everything he could to be nice to you but never ask you to be his gf rite?
I am not helping the guy I just want to know whether is he trying to be a good friend with you or is he the bad wolf who does things behind his gf's back -

ya, fell asleep already..haha..thanks for all the replies...well, don't worry, he hasn't touched me...he wanted to kiss me but i pushed him away...
he said he likes me but needs time to get over his 'ex'...haha....bunch of lies...
all i can say i was too available for him...always replying his msgs promptly and going out to meet him whenever he called...my own fault...now must open eyes bigger...haha.... -
