How can I help him to stop smoking?

  Well, a very good guy friend of mine started smoking about a year ago. I really want to help him to quit that habit.
  
  I'm thinking of buying nicotine gum for him. He's not yet 18 while I'm already 18 though I ain't a smoker.
  
  It's not available over-the-counter in Spore, right?
  
  Are there any other ways to help him? I'd tried both soft and hard approaches, to no avail.
  
  Thanks in advance for any help offered.

  That's too harsh for him. I will be merely screwing up his life. Please, any other ways to help him? nicotine gum?

  the gum is available over the counter... jz buy it for him... if all else fails, report him to mata as underage smoker...

  Oh, any idea how much does it cost? And for a smoker like him, how much is enough to help him quit? Thou I understand that the gum is not some miracle, he needs his own willpower too.
  
  The thing is, he doesn't really want to quit though he knows that his health is failing.

  you tell him, if u dont stop smoking, u no need to use your sperms in the future.

  cant rem... shouldnt be ex... jz go unity, guardian pharmacy or watsons... u jz buy him a pack or 2 1st so he can hold it for a day... ask him y he like smoking 1st... tat should be a way to tackle it... if stress related then u can intro him ways other than smoke..

  If buying one less piece of top/bag/whatever stands a chance in helping him, why not? Helping a friend like this, ain't really "wasting money" to me. I'm happy helping him.

  my school counseller use this method to convice 2 sibei heavy smokers in sch to quit hor.....
  but the counseller got do research on like.. cigs can make u low sperm count... and infertile ...
  i bet if u tell him and he still smokes he is just putting up a strong front, inside he is scared 1.... if u show him the report, he might act as if he dun wana read, but he will be sibei sibei scared...
  just tell him to imagine being unable to play chinese chess or have sex for life.

  u can call the Health Promotion Board's Quit Smoking Helpline at 1800-223-1313. for professional help. you cld also request a Quit Kit booklet to guide u along.... be patient with him. it takes alot to quit smoking..

  but only 1 thing will works..
  
  when his closer 1 going to die, ask the closer to request ur friend to stop smoking and promise the closer 1..
  
  but the closer 1 must be someone who very inportant to him.
  
  btw, if u girl, u must be fall in love with him right
