Ya I know. Trying my best to change the picture. My camera seems okay with long haul shots but does badly in near haul shots. Probably do it some other day.

Your 1:76 from SGD85?! wow tts expensive
Originally posted by Acx1688:Your 1:76 from SGD85?! wow tts expensive
Yup. Ok lah. Given that USD has risen. If you buy it straight from 80m online shop you would probably pay more after the conversion rate and the air mail.
I have a promotion going on. SGD158 for 2, which makes it SGD79.
And also given that Bus Forum Members get SGD5 off for every SGD150 purchase, that makes it only SGD153 for 2 buses, which makes it SGD76.50 per (1:76), plus free meet-up delivery (as purchase is more than SGD150) at Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, Woodlands and Toa Payoh Interchange. =)

WAT EXCHANGE RATE are u using>?!

SGD85 for a single model is way too ex. Theres a way that i can get it for far more cheaper than what u r charging right nw.

Eh.... My transactions will all be in SGD.
80m website uses US dollar for your information if you buy through them. Plus airmail charges and all.

Some of the (1:76 diecast models) I am selling cost me HKD398.
So I dun earn much actually if you buy 2
(2 For $153 ($76.50) after $5 discount for Busforum users).

Thank you
I bought the bus collection in Hong Kong. Exchange rate was 5.44 then.
But I bought quite a lot. And shipped them back to Singapore at HKD840 ($154.34).

u check how much ebay, ehattons before you price your models...
I somehow think your prices are marked up too much. SGD85 = HKD470 now and I don't think 80M stuff will go up to HKD470 except for rare models.
I would ditto for the Japan bus models also... The 'Faithfull' Bus series is retailing for 1890 JPY (approx 30 SGD) including tax. There are other 1/80 model manufacturers that offer more competitive pricing and quality other than Trane, like Kyosho, among many other factors.
I am not saying how you should make business, but by shipping a large amount of models at one go back home and selling them would be a bad choice. Most sellers of various industries (not only models) would do a order-then-order technique (akin to a middle-man).
Then I have questions for you all.
At what price would you spend on a QQ?
At what price would you spend on a 1:76 model?
Probably with some opinions and feedback then I can review the price. But the cut would not be too great I would say but most likely cheaper by a little.

1:76 maximum $70 for me. And this $70 is for rare or exclusive-edition models with very limited production run, or models that are not easily found online. Eg I willingly paid $70 for AUBUS1002.
Anymore price commentors?
Help appreciated. =)
As mentioned, you are pricing yourself out of business.
no sane person would buy a model that is available in the market at a much cheaper price.
your fr SGD85.00 per 1:76 model is not realistic
You should set the price at SGD65.00 NETT per 1:76 model or least price it closer to the SGD equivalent of the HKD amount of the model on sale
Your aims of making profit has clouded your vision
Price wise I would also agree to about SGD 65. Except for a few rare models, I have never gotten any 1:76 that is more than SGD 70.
And a word of advice... Models and collectibles are not good items to charge a high mark up price to gain profit. Just a simple check on Google would enable the potential buyer to get the price that mainstream stores are selling. With one look, your products and your store would likely be in their blacklist... That is actually how I purchase all my collectibles not only bus models but stuff like PVC figurines from Japan etc...
