when jesus walked the earth,he was penniless, still he fed thousands.he preach God's word to the masses and stood witness to God's authority like the faithful son n servant he is to God..perfectly blameless...
fast forward 2000+ to mordern day..when mega churches walk the earth, they are damn rich..some even have an income of at least 10m a year, thats y the govt checks on them..but despite being so rich, how many have they fed?
they might not be preaching God's word anymore but instead they say u give more money to church,God give u more reward.
oh hello,i didnt noticed you were there.btw, welcome to city harvest =)

maybe its for chc members to chat here n for non members to know more about chc..
or it can be a reverse psychology..a thread for ppl who dislike chc to chat abt their dislike for chc n let others know why chc was not their preferred mega church..
either way,who really knows??

Success brings envy.
How many people have we ourselves fed?
If this City Harvest Church is abusing its congregation money for selfish purposes they will answer to God in time of judgment. How long can a man live afterall.
Unless we have some evidence that show they are abusing their congregation money it's pointless to rant.
You don't really believe that God is dead do you? We would all get what we deserved. Count on that.

i really dont understand what kind of church that is.
They're based in a shopping mall, and they're paying $500Million to build a new one with dance clubs and wine bars.
Their music is like rock music or something, just with christian words as lyrics.
Their leader is more like a celebrity than a christian leader

Ok this is my personal take on mega churches,no intention to offend anyone.
Churches should be reminded what are Jesus’s teachings and should mirror what He stands for, like humility, self sacrifice, and other virtues.
Jesus could have all the $$ in the world to build mega and beautiful churches for his flocks but instead he usually choosed humble venues like wilderness or mountains etc etc.
Churches should never engage in any business or profit making activities unless it’s for charity or other good causes. Remember Jesus himself chase out those greedy merchants from the temples angrily didnt he?
Even if a church is rich and successful, the extra monies, should be used to set up trusts for or donate direct into charities where $$$ would be use more meaningfully.
Lastly, Jesus said very clearly like many will come in His name and much of these are wolves in sheep skins. So people should look beyond the glamour and flashy lights and see the real god that the church is subscribing to.

yep happy go lor
dun happy dun go lor
so simple
kekeke
But they preach a lot on money one
always ask members to give and give
then say u will get 100 folds back
i been there for 6 years
given money but never c any folds back
so i dun think is wise keep telling people
u put 10 bucks in u will reap 100 folds
sounds like stock market to me
