ICT: Reservist Hair Style

hi,
I'm going for 3rd reservist soon , and i need to keep my hair for various reasons, is there any particular letters/exceptions i can produce to be excluded from cutting my hair.
I have work in a pub as a musician, so is it possible for me to give them a letter from my employer requesting permission to keep my hair ? My employer wants me to keep my hair but he has no idea on SAF procedures and neither do i.
my hair is quite long , touching just below my shoulders
any help would be appreaciated

Its already your 3rd ICT, you can draw your own conclusion from your 1st and 2nd ICTs.

the best i see during a ICT is natural brown dyed hair and the hair length at best is the typical office worker type. -

During one of my ICT a decade ago, one of the PTE from the HQ company was spotted with long and colourful hair by the RSM during the first parade. He claimed that he was DJ in a disco and trimming his hair will affect his image. RSM confidently rejected his reason and sent him straight to the barber who was waiting along the corridor in the company line. I think he cursed and swear.
I suggest you write to your OC about your concern and hoping he can minimise the damage to your hair.

During my reservisit last year, 2 guys appeal to keep long hair. one is hairstylist, the other is model. nothing happened to them.

Only way it will work is when there's a contract stated that you need to keep a hairstyle or an image that is aligned with the entertainment industry...I've seen such contract before and pre-approved it before submitting it to the CO for approval..

Ts, ask your boss to write a letter and when your ICT starts show it to your CO or RSM. I have a sgt who is a model so our CO approve of his long hair.
