skythewood, the topic Sir teraexa is deluded isn't on scholarship or SAF at all. Its about delusions and universities. Its in the scholar thread cos the thread went.. out of topic. Farmer refers to grads of the 3 local universities, who all think they are MIT or harvard students.
Sir teraexa also made slurs against poly students and said how many poly students actually make it in life, when I told him that SG non grads,and especially poly grads have superior critical thinking and independent thought than the Farmer graduates.

Pls do not change the title into something that's inaccurate. The topic is no longer about SAF, scholarships or officers. It's about erroneous de-education that's a waste of $.

Well, judging by the way we were arguing, it hardly qualifies to be in this forum which is meant for SAF-related issues.
Why not move it to Chit-Chat? I am sure we can find more audiences to agree with our respective sides.
Besides, I am not making a slur against poly students. I am just questioning if the people you met were the outliers rather than the mean. Questioning where the mean is hardly qualifies as slurring. I am sure you, the-non-farmer-graduate, are intelligent enough to go Princeton Wordnet or Oxford English Dictionary to check up on the definition of slur before using it.
Lastly, I have said all I wanted in the locked thread. The last post by me will suffice as my main gist and my closing statements. Say all you want but debating with you is worse than playing the piano to a cow because you are bigoted and petty (hardly justifying your argument that non-farmer-graduates like you have better critical thinking and worldview).

You got measure? you assume? your job allow you to be exposed to a large number of uni and poly people and you give all of them a score, and your tabulated results show that the statement is true?

Elite university students know that and say that and have earned the right to know that local farmer grads are retarded. I know it's hard for them accept. Shameless paupers generally think they are no different from kings. The more I am reminded of the things we used to say, the more tickled I am. Actually just last week over drinks, it was raised again even though it's been years since we finished studying. Haha!

A pauper without a self-checking mechanism ie shameless, think they are no different from kings. Thus, they think that way because they are shameless (paupers), as opposed to a non-shameless pauper. My observation is farmer graduates are of such low calibre and quality, that they are a tier lower than poly grads. Do you think poly grads are better than elite uni grads? You tell me...
In any case, teraexa, upper echelon (not barring sales and MLM jobs) means earning S$8000-$10000 at 26 years old. I know the income ranges of most industries, including start-ups. And i know how much you will draw at 26. $1K+ as a pupil. When you start at 27 you won't even draw half of that. So ...take your upper echelon dreams to farmerland where you actually have an audience who will lap it up greedily and sux your balls in agreement. -
Haha, by your definition of upper echelons, even a SAFOS is not considered one because there's no way he can get to that payscale by 26 (that is probably around a scheme C major-2 pay). Major-2 by 26? Maybe our PM ba.
And considering that our SAFOSes are one of the best paid scholars around, I will like to see how one can get to that without being an entrepreneur or being born with a silver spoon.
Seems like our definitions of "upper echelons" differ. There's no point arguing then.
