I heard compensation is quite low for service injury? Anyone care to enlighten me on this issue?
I think better take care not to suffer injuries if the injuries compensation is low. Dont be too garrang.

I am out of NS already.Of course noone wants to get injured. I meant is it wise getting injured if the compensation is low?
NS men are insured by Aviva right? Maybe it will go according to how much the insurance company will provide...
My friends, ear surgery, lungs infection, spine injury, bullet shot through the neck, knee ligament tear, broken leg are all covered completely by NS.
it's not worth deliberately getting injured in NS...except mental instability... but it will be in your records for life though..

Since when it's wise to get injured?
is it even wise to get injured in the first place?
i got injured once during my OCS training ....with a broken nose..at 4am during a enemy fight out exercise....
there was no anaesthetic in tekong...and wait for 6am before there is ferry to fetch me to changi hospital ....
i recovered and check with the army but was told this is a voluntary service and prepared to be liable on high risks exercise...unless my nose is totally broken ...then army will try their best to secure compensation....all in all ..NS is not liable for what could be repaired or saved....they have done their part via hospital bills...
anyway...this aside...this should not daunt us from refraining NS or abolish it....it is a must ...becos it is our motherland regardless if there is a govt or not....
we cannot take peace for granted...
In honour of Maj-Gen Lim Bo Seng
wowww....ocs.... did you get to become commissioned officer after your injury?
